I have hands-on experience of every stage required to build and maintain a robust geospatial IT system — from the analysis of cross-sector user requirements, standards and available datasets, through the formulation of requirements, development, implementation and quality control of deliverables, to the daily administration of a live GIS platform serving millions of requests.

That work is grounded in a current working knowledge of European standards and practice, built through active membership of European geospatial organisations — including chairing the EuroGeographics INSPIRE Knowledge Network.

I am always open to a professional challenge that lets me support an ambitious team while continuing to extend my own skills and experience.

Recent projects

Apr 2024 — present · GUGiK

Integration of the National Geodetic & Cartographic Resource (Integracja PZGiK)

A ~€60M project to digitise and modernise Poland’s National Geodetic and Cartographic Resource. The project delivers the ePZGiK system for online access to geodetic documentation at district level, with the aim of eliminating paper-based workflows and providing a fully integrated, interoperable spatial data infrastructure.

Aug 2017 — 2020 · EuroGeographics

Open European Location Services (Open ELS)

A project organised and managed by EuroGeographics, with GUGiK as a project partner. Project Manager for the Polish contribution — responsible for the quality assurance of spatial data and services, and for capacity building across the partnership.

Development of a geospatial data model for a municipality, utilising the National Underground Asset Register (NUAR) and a geospatial data quality model.

European Location Framework (ELF)

A project organised and managed by EuroGeographics, with the Main Geodetic and Cartographic Documentation Centre as a partner. Coordination of the Central European cluster of countries within the project.
